what is the theme of the zine?this side zine is themed around mae's journal! all submitted pieces will reflect the doodles that mae does throughout the game.will this zine have any physical merch that can be bought?no! this zine will be digital only, and be completely free.do i need to apply to join this zine?no, you do not! everyone is welcome to submit a piece for this zine, regardless of zine experience or art/writing skill level! the more people, the better.we just ask that you please read the submission rules before submitting!do i need to join the discord to submit to this zine?being in the discord is completely optional! it's just an extra community hub for contributors to meet other folks with similar interests.i'm not able to provide a digital piece or i can only work with MS paint. can i still participate?of course you can! we're not expecting anything extravagant though, so please don't worry either way.for traditional pieces, as we won't be able to format anything without a transparent background, we'll need your permission to trace over your piece to digitalise it and include it into the zine.i have a question that's not covered in this FAQ. where can i contact you?you can click the button below to send us an email! alternatively, you can send us a twitter DM!

general guidelines✦ all applicants must be 13 years or older at the time of submission✦ PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT ANY NSFW CONTENT. this includes sexually explicit, graphic violence, or gore content.✦ you are welcome to submit as many times as you'd like!✦ you do not need to join the discord server to submit a piece, but it is encouraged!
submission specifications✦ we're looking for casual sketches/small writing [short poems, haikus etc] similar to the ones from the game!✦ for your convenience, we are providing templates for you to work with should you wish!✦ canvas size for 1-page: 5.8 in x 8.3 in
metric system: 148 mm x 210 mm✦ canvas size for 2-page: 11.6 in x 8.3 in
metric system: 296 mm x 210 mm✦ please ensure that you're submitting a transparent PNG, even if you decide to use one of the templates.✦ RGB, 300 dpi, clean black lines, no colour✦ if you're submitting a traditional piece, please ensure that the photo you're taking is clear and bright. this will help us trace over it a lot easier!
